DUSTAN KNIGHT Fine Art > Wood Pieces

This body of artwork is really accelerating for me. I did similar pieces in the Eighties in NYC - using found materials and investigating literary themes of abandonment, exploration and existential angst. ( I was in my thirties after all) This past year (2024) I have been revitalizing the narrative form in these three di assemblages of recycled wood scraps. My interest in using discarded, left over materials is apparent here in the scraps of wood rescued from furniture makers dust bins and returned housepaint. I am exploring the idea of community - isolation and collaboration, mundanity and the magic in everyday.
